  6/01  Video Game Tournament information has been updated. Big B RadioSpecial Events, including the Charity Auction and special video screenings, are spotlighted here.

Asian music broadcaster Big B Radio will be in the Artist Alley.
  5/31  List of panels, workshops, and demos are online.
  5/30  Pre-Registration ends today. At-the-door Registration rates are listed on the Registration page.
  5/21  Industry Guest Jonathan Brands from FUNimation will be attending AMA. We will screen premiers of Speed Grapher and Negima coming from FUNimation this summer. Visit the FUNimation table and panels during the convention.
  5/19  There is an update for all artists in the Artist Alley about power usage. If you have not received an email notice, you will receive one today along with other information.
  5/16  Johnny Bosch will not be able to attend AMA due to a new, unexpected scheduling conflict.

The AMA room block at the Crowne Plaza Richmond hotel has been expanded and the deadline moved to May 26th.
  5/15  The AMA room block at the Richmond Marriott has sold out. There are still a few rooms left at the Crowne Plaza five blocks away from the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

  5/14  Video Game Tournament updates are online.
  5/10  The pre-registration date has been extended to May 30th. Make sure all mailed pre-regs are sent in by Tuesday May 30.
  5/04  The AMA crew will be running a table at the 2006 Asian Festival this Saturday at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

Author, editor and journalist Kay Reynolds will be a featured guest at AMA. Under the Starblaze Graphics imprint she wrote and edited the first Robotech Art Book. She has also worked with Elf Quest artists Wendy and Richard Pini and has written many short stories in the horror and fantasy genres.
  4/19  Anime Mid-Atlantic is proud to announce our first ever Japanese "Cosplay Idol" featured guest, Yunmao Ayakawa. Yunmao is a professional Cosplay Model from the Akihabara region of Tokyo who has appeared on television and in magazines. She is also a costume designer and illustrator.

Reminder to Vendors: please contact the Greater Richmond Convention Center if you need access to electricity and/or telecommunications during AMA. Links to this information can be found on the Vendors page. We've also included information about unloading materials in the GRCC's loading dock.
  4/18  The AMA crew will be running a table at the first annual RavenCon, a science fiction convention in Richmond, Virginia this weekend. Guests at RavenCon include author Terry Brooks, creator of the Shannara series of novels and various other works.
  4/12  Returning guest Austell Callwood will be attending AMA 2006 as founder of the new international entertainment company TenBu Productions. Click here to read more about his new venture.

AMA 2006 musical guest Kristine Sa was recently interviewed on the anime podcast Otaku Generation (show #44).
  4/09  Coming to AMA 2006: TenBu Productions presents Mr. Yasuhiro Koshi of Big Fighter Project. Mr. Koshi is an actor and chief advisor on many action movies including: Battle Royal, Casshern, Last Samurai, and Godzilla Final Wars.

AMA would also like to welcome returning guests (and AMA artwork contributors) John and Jason Waltrip, artists of Robotech: Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles comic book.
  4/04  The Anime Music Video Contest information is now online. All AMV entries are due by Saturday May 27th.
  4/02  Video Game Room information is now online. We hope to post more tournament information online soon.
  3/19  Creative Director Tommy Yune from Robotech.com will be attending AMA 6. Check out his bio which includes work in the comic book and video game industries.

The Artist Alley is now closed.
We will begin to collect a small number of names for the waiting list for Artist Alley tables.

  2/25  Information for vendors needing electrical and telecommunication support via the Convention Center is now online.
  2/23  AMA welcomes returning guest author and illustrator Mark E Rogers. There will be a series of updates to the website over the next few days.

  2/08  The AMA crew will be attending Katsucon next weekend in D.C. Stop by our table to pre-reg and find out more information about AMA 6.
  1/30  Update! The group pre-registration rate for 8 or more memberships mailed together is still available. The group pre-registration rate is $25 for each person.
  1/20  Just added to the AMA 6 guest list is New York-based X-Strike Studios. This talented group of filmmakers produce video game parodies. Come view their works and listen to their take on Hollywood movies based on video games. . .
  1/12  This weekend the AMA crew will be heading west to MAGFest in Charlottesville, Virginia. If you are in the area and planning to attend the convention, stop by our table and learn more about this year's AMA.
  1/10  Happy New Year! The featured guest list continues to grow as we add our third musical guest. Michael "Piano Squall" Gluck is a cosplaying pianist specializing in game and anime music performance. He has also composed original video game music. He will be performing at AMA 6.
12/30  The $25 weekend pre-registration rate ends tomorrow. Registrations at this price must be postmarked in the mail by 12/31/05.
12/24  Today (Christmas Eve) Kristine Sa will be previewing 2 singles from her forthcoming album "Hopeless Romantic" on her website. One song: “I Got What U Want” will be a completely free full length mp3 download! Visit her website: www.kristinesa.com
12/10  Robotech.comAnime Mid-Atlantic is proud to announce our latest industry guest, Steve Yun from Harmony Gold and Robotech.com will join us in 2006. Steve has worked on various recent Robotech projects including the upcoming Robotech: Shadow Chronicles.
12/03  Guidelines for artwork submissions by artists in the Artist Alley are now online. The special $10 rate on an Artist Alley table (along with a standard pre-registration) ends on Decemeber 31st.

AMA 2006 guest: Kristine Sa's "AnimeToonz3: Kristine Sa" will be distributed by Jellybean Recordings directly to retail and online outlets beginning in December.
11/06  Massive Update! The AMA crew are back from Nekocon. Lots of new information will be posted soon. Volunteer information is now online. Currently confirmed artists for Artist Alley and new Vendors have been posted. Cosplay and Hall Costume Contest details are up. Details about our second hotel, Richmond Crowne Plaza, are now up.

10/05  Congrats to AMA staff artists John & Jason Waltrip who share writing credits on the newly released Robotech: Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles mini-series from DC/Wildstorm Comics.
  9/22  Anime Mid-Atlantic is proud to announce our latest guest for 2006. Singer, song writer and actress Mari Iijima will attend AMA next June.
  9/01  Artist Alley table registration information and more is now online. Pre-register and reserve a table before the end of the year and save some money.

Anime Mid-Atlantic 2006 is scheduled for June 16-18, 2006 and will be located at the Greater Richmond Convention Center!
